South Padre Island is most famously known for it's Spring Break activities. It is, however, a wonderful place for you to take your family. All four seasons have a variety of events and attractions to keep you and your family busy. This Island is one of the most popular resourts in Texas. It will definately make for a wonderful vacation to come to the Island and spend some time relaxing and having fun.

If you try to come to the island during the Spring time you will notice that the people there are not very conservative. This is the time of Spring Break and many young people are at the island having a good time. This might not be the ideal time for a family to visit the island, but it is still a time that you can look forward to. There is the traditional Easter egg hunt during the Spring that is definately a great time for families. Spring is also the beginning of the water season.

During the summer there are many activities to participate in. There are probably too many activities to list. There are activities such as learning to build sand castles, attending dolphin watches and amphibious cruises. Both of these activities are very popular for families. Many families attend the island and make it a two nation vacation by going and exploring the Mexican border. It is a good place to look for resteraunts and culture.

The fall used to be a very slow time of year in South Padre. This is not the case any longer. They have come up with several activities during this time of the year. There are fishing competitions and the Roar by the Shore. This is an event where Harley-Davidson riders come and celebrate. The Port Isabel Market Day is another popular attraction. This event is held in Port Isabel on the property of Point Isabel Lighthouse.

Winter is the most populated time of the year for the Island. Many people who live in Texas or from other people know the slower pace of this time of year will make for a slower and quiter relaxing time. Bird watching is a popular event during this time of the year.
