Students attending spring break in South Padre often go out and enjoy the many pronged night life and the beach. Both of these things are very popular in South Padre. There are many events to attend while Spring Break is going on. There are special things that are not going on throughout the rest of the year. There are things such as sports that are participated in toward the water, bikini contests, bars are open as well as night clubs. There are alternative fun things to do for South Padre Spring Breaks. There is an event called Beach Reach. This is a Spring Break activity that reaches out to students seaking salvation through Jesus Christ. There is a Habitat for Humanity program as well. Students will get together and build a house for dis-advantaged people.

Families can still visit the Island during Spring break. You can be out away from all of the college students. There are several of the hotels and condos in South Padre that only rent out to families. You can do any number of activities with the family during your stay. Most of these activities will not be participated in by the Spring Break students. You can do things such as fishing or snorkeling. There are many wonderful things to try.
